Hey there! I'm Lorissa.
THE GIRL BEHIND THESE PHOTOS
I've lived in Medicine Hat, Alberta my entire life, so naturally travel and adventure are always on my mind. (Although the comfort of home is real and I miss my bed.) Documenting the beauty and wonder of someplace new with my friends and family is how I first found my passion for photography, which quickly grew into capturing the stories of others.

Everyone has a different story; I want to tell yours.
what my work is all about

Whether it's your love story, your growing family, or simply documenting a part of your own life's journey, it's my job to be the storyteller. I balance documenting candid and authentic moments with crafting creative portraits that highlight your unique personality, all while ensuring that you're relaxed and having a great time!

It's important to me that you look back and remember not just how undoubtedly stunning you looked, but how it felt to be in that moment. From nervous excitement to utter joy, the wind softly swaying your hair or that look on the groom's face as he first sees his bride - all of those fleeting moments that make your day special that you'll treasure forever are what I aim to capture.

Fun Facts About Me!

+ I LOVE animals, especially dogs and hedgehogs.
+ I was a competitive gymnast for many years, and a coach.
+ My first two paid photography gigs were weddings.
+ Some of my favourite things include rewatching Friends or The Office, eating deep fried pickles, reading, being active and going on adventures.
+ As a bit of a smarty-pants everyone told me I was going to be a doctor. I surprised them by graduating with my Bachelor of Applied Arts Degree with honours. Being creative has always been my passion, and I enjoy the challenges of it.
+ I have a pretty strong photographic memory (go figure), but if you tell me something and I don't write it down there's a good chance I'll forget. Sticky notes and alarms are my lifesavers.
+ I had a short story published in an anthology called Unicorns and UFO's when I was 10.
+ Chocolate ice cream is what I live for.
